Is your contractor reputable?

look up your builder by name or license number to check

Look up a contractor license or Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) registration to verify information, including complaint disclosure. Before hiring a contractor or signing a contract, CSLB recommends you read the Hiring a Contractor page.

Use this tool from the CA Department of Consumer Affairs to check the status of a builder’s license and see any active complaints that might be under investigation. https://www2.cslb.ca.gov/OnlineServices/CheckLicenseII/checklicense.aspx

Modular Construction

Modular(not manufactured) construction is a process in which a building is constructed off-site, under controlled plant conditions, using the same materials and designing to the same codes and standards as conventionally built facilities – but in about half the time. Buildings are produced in “modules” that when put together on site, reflect the identical design intent and specifications of the most sophisticated site-built facility.
